Dragon Fruit

Dewberries are small, sweet berries that grow in areas with lots of moisture. They’re native to Europe and North America. Dewberries have a tart-sweet taste and are used in jams, pies, and other desserts. Their acidic content makes them perfect for this!


A damson is a fruit, the most popular of which are grown in England. It can be eaten raw or cooked and has many health benefits. The scientific name for the damson is Prunus domestica subsp. insititia (Prunus insititia). The skin takes on a dark purple color when ripened. They are available around August and September.

Damson is often used in jams because of its delicate flavor and high sugar content. And don’t forget it’s rich in antioxidants!


Dulse is a type of seaweed that grows in cold waters, typically in Ireland and parts of Canada. It has a light, salty flavor and is a good source of iodine, potassium, and other minerals. Dulse is also high in fiber and protein. It can be found in health food stores and online.

You can eat it as a snack, or put in your baking!
