Let medicine be thy food and food thy medicine / Nature itself is the best physician — Hippocrates
We are bodies of energy. Our energy vibrates on different frequencies based on the emotions we feel. Check in with yourself real quick. How do you feel in this moment?
Do you feel sluggish, tired, or unmotivated? You are vibrating at a lower frequency. Do you feel inspired, at peace, and happy? You are vibrating at a higher frequency. There are many different reasons and ways to shift your vibrational frequency. The purpose of this post is to look at one of those ways, eating higher vibration foods and the impact it can have on your health and vitality!
The foods we eat can make a huge difference in our energy levels, moods and how we feel about ourselves. The higher the vibrational frequency of food is, the more it will elevate your current vibration and your energy level!
There are many different foods that fall into this category including raw vegetables with high water content such as cucumbers or celery and fresh fruit like blueberries. Any whole food that comes from nature, with minimal processing.
How does food affect our energy levels?
Food affects our energy levels because it provides us with the nutrients our body needs. Have you ever noticed that after stuffing yourself with a processed carb rich meal and sugar, you feel low and lethargic afterwards? You probably feel like talking a long nap. What about when you are eating foods you know are good for your body? I’m willing to bet you notice a difference and feel much better! Possibly even more energized?
Other than the physical energy that food provides, there is a spiritual energy connected with food. The vibrational energy of food has a lot to do with how it makes us feel.
A higher vibration food is one that feeds the body in an optimal way and gives a feeling of physical well-being, mindfulness, or emotional balance. The energy emitted from these foods can help you on your journey as they are aligned with spiritual growth.
What are higher vibration foods?
The food you eat is connected to a frequency of energy. The frequency of the food will either increase or decrease your own vibrational energy.
The higher the frequency of energy, the healthier it is for you. If we eat a lower vibrational food, then our bodies will have less vitality and health.
Higher vibration foods are unprocessed whole foods. You may be familiar with some of these already. These are your whole grains, raw vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, and non-GMO proteins. These foods come directly from nature and have NO additives, preservatives, trans fat, or food dyes.
Foods that come directly from the life energy of Mother Nature herself. When you eat whole foods, which have not been processed or refined, this life energy is transferred to you!
What foods have the highest frequency?
All foods vibrate on a different frequency level. Higher frequency foods are more alkaline in nature and lower frequency foods are acidic.
Some examples of higher vibration food items include:
- green vegetables like spinach, kale or chard
- apples (fresh) and pears (dried)
- most organic fruits if eaten alone without sugar added to them
Alkaline foods that are not higher vibration are:
- most animal protein products like bacon, eggs and beef. These foods can still be eaten in moderation if you balance them with alkaline food choices as well as some fresh fruit or green vegetables to neutralize the acidity they cause.
Alkaline foods are higher vibration because they are easy to digest and their higher frequency causes them to balance the body’s pH level more easily. Higher vibration foods alkalize your system while lower vibration acidic food items can create a buildup of acid in your digestive tract.
Top 10 Higher Vibration Foods
Wheatgrass is a high vibrational food that is considered a juice and not really a vegetable. This delicious green liquid can be found in the produce section of most grocery stores or you can make your own at home by using grass clippings from your yard. Wheatgrass has been used for centuries as it contains many vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and enzymes which are necessary for optimal health.
Just one ounce of wheatgrass packs in about 1000mg of chlorophyll which is great for detoxing the body and getting rid of toxins. Chlorophyll also has an alkalizing effect on the blood, so it’s great to drink before or after a workout because it will help your muscles feel less sore from lactic acid buildup while boosting oxygen levels and reducing free radicals in the blood stream.
- Wheatgrass can be consumed as a juice by juicing fresh grass clippings with carrots, celery, apples and cucumbers
- It may not taste delicious all alone but when mixed with other vegetables or fruits you won’t even notice that there is any earthy flavor at all
The next higher vibrational food is the avocado! Avocados are a heart healthy fruit and are high in omega 6 fatty acids which have been shown to lower cholesterol levels. Avocados also contain vitamin E and carotenoids such as beta-carotene that help keep the eyes healthy by protecting against age related macular degeneration and cataracts (Vitamin A).
Avocado is a fruit that’s green on the outside with a buttery texture on the inside. It can be eaten raw or cooked and has an appealing nutty flavor, depending of course on how ripe it is. Some people compare eating avocados to eating chocolate pudding for it’s creamy consistency! The flesh turns from dark purple to brown when ready for consumption because of its high fat content – up to 30%.
Other health benefits include:
- The high fibre content in avocados helps keep your digestive system running smoothly.
- Avocado is also a great source of monounsaturated fats and potassium, which have been shown to lower blood pressure levels.
- It’s rich in vitamins A, C and E that help protect against free radical damage. Free radicals are the main cause for cancerous cell growth as well as other health problems like heart disease due to blocked arteries or arthritis from weariness on joints due to age or injury.
Next up is kale! Kale is an incredibly nutrient dense vegetable. It’s loaded with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants
It has fibers that help to keep the intestinal tract moving smoothly! The vitamin K in kale helps promote bone health by helping calcium get into the bones for stronger bones
Kale also contains sulforaphane- a chemical compound thought to be responsible for many of its healthy properties like anti-cancer activity
So what does this all mean? Kale will give you higher energy levels because it boosts your metabolism which increases your vitality. Your immune system becomes more resilient and supple as well because of kale\’s antioxidant compounds. And lastly, if you want healthier skin then add some raw juiced fresh kale to your diet.
Now on to carrots. Carrots are a higher vibrational food because they’re not only extremely nutritious, but also help you to detoxify your body.
Carrots contain beta-carotene and other carotenoids that give them their orange color. These compounds have antioxidant properties, which means they can prevent cell damage induced by free radicals in the body.
Carrot’s high water content helps flush toxins out of the liver through bile flow as it breaks down during digestion and metabolism. As an anti-inflammatory agent carrot may be able to reduce inflammation caused by auto immune diseases like arthritis or eczema; while its antioxidants will keep you looking younger with less wrinkles than if you were consuming some other fruit or vegetable on this list!
Cucumbers are great for your skin and for your digestive system. It’s a high vibrational food because they’re an alkaline vegetable that is low in calories. Cucumbers are 92% water, so you get to enjoy the benefits of hydration while also getting some vitamins from it!
What do I need to know about cucumbers?
- They contain Vitamin A, which helps maintain healthy eyesight.
- They help with digestion by aiding in breaking down proteins found in meat and dairy products. This is important because too much protein can be hard on the body when trying to digest them; cucumbers provide just enough fiber without putting stress on the digestive system or causing bloating like other vegetables would do (like broccoli).
Ginger root (fresh)
I love fresh ginger root! The pungent, slightly spicy taste is invigorating and the health benefits are too many to list.
Ginger root has been used in cooking for centuries in Asia and Europe. It was highly valued for its medicinal properties as well as a flavoring agent during medieval times when it was believed that ginger’s pungency purged the body of “bad humors”
It can be eaten raw or cooked, grated into sauces, dried ground up with other herbs and spices (ginger powder), steeped whole before being removed from liquid to make candied ginger slices that can then be dipped into chocolate; chopped finely or blended with water to create a drinkable tea called ginger ale!

Often mistooken for a vegetable, tomatoes are actually classified as a fruit. The tomato plant is an annual vine native to South America and grown all over the world today. Tomatoes were first domesticated by pre-Columbian cultures in Mexico around 400 AD; they have since spread around the globe with cultivation techniques being perfected in places such as Italy and Britain.
The flesh of the tomato contains lycopene which gives it its deep red coloration that we associate with healthy foods (this also makes them high vibrational). Lycopene has many health benefits including reducing inflammation, bolstering heart health, enhancing vision retention, decreasing risk for some cancers like prostate cancer or breast cancer due to their anti-oxidant properties and more!
Although acidic in nature, lemons actually contain potent alkalizing substances, which neutralize the acidic properties of the lemon. Lemons are also rich in magnesium and potassium, both of which help to keep blood pressure normal, lower cholesterol levels and regulate heart rhythm.
- You can eat lemons by cutting it up into slices or wedges for a garnish on your food items such as salads or fruit platters.
- It is recommended that you consume no more than one serving per day of this high vibrational food due to its acid content.
Beets have so many health benefits. They can help detoxify the liver, they have anti-cancer properties, and are a good source of iron. However, beets may need to be cooked before eaten because raw beets contain higher levels of oxalic acid which is not healthy for humans.
There’s more than just delicious beet juice! Beet greens also pack lots of nutrients like calcium, folate and magnesium. And since we’re talking about higher vibration foods – try drinking some fresh beet juice every day!
Onions are one of the most popular vegetables in America. The dense, rich flavor of onions is loved by many people and can be used to cook up a variety of dishes from all around the world!
Onions are known for their strong taste, which makes them perfect as the base or flavoring for other more delicate flavors in your dish.
Onion soup is one example where you would use an onion as a main ingredient because it provides both savory flavor and thickness that will help keep everything together. Onions are also great when mixed with egg noodles to make traditional scalloped potatoes which includes shiitakes, milk cream broth and grated cheddar cheese on top.
Onions will definitely increase your vibration level so remember to include them in your diet if you want higher energy and positivity.
How do you feel about the food you eat now? Eating foods that vibrate on higher frequencies – like whole unprocessed foods found in nature – provide more natural “energy” to our bodies than processed or cooked foods do because they have a greater number of nutrients available to them. It should be no surprise then that these types of healthy choices can help us feel better mentally and physically over time as well!
